Senior Pastors

Rev. David De Jesus studied at the University of Puerto Rico where he obtained an Associate Degree in Engineering. Through his love of music & various music ministries, he met Marianela Murillo Velasquez in 1978. They married shortly after she completed her Associate Degree in Nursing on July 5, 1980 at the Fogos Church of the M.I. From this beautiful union, three daughters were born, Jennifer, Marianela and Melany. Pastora Marianela Murillo went to be with the Lord in December of 2024. They were happily married for 43 years.

Pastor David entered the Pentecostal Biblical College graduating with High Honors in 1986. He was elected Senior Pastor on July 13, 1993 of the Primera Iglesia Cristiana Juan 3:16 de las Asambleas de Dios Inc and in 1996 was promoted to full ministry as an Ordained Minister. In the 2003 God gave him the privilege of graduating with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the Universidad Interamericana de Puerto Rico, with Magna Cum Laude. In 2005, his wife, Marianela Murillo also obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing with the honors of Magna Cum Laude. In 2008, they moved to Lakeland and began attending Victorious Life Church until November 2013 where they participated as Bible School teachers, Secretary of the Board, Principal of the English Bible Institute branch, Director of Education and then full-time Associate Pastor.

On November 3, 2013, he was elected Pastor of Iglesia Luz del Mundo A/D. Since they arrived at the Church, they took on the task of organizing and communicating the vision that God has given them for this congregation.

On November 3, 2023, Pastor David Dejesus & Marianela Murillo celebrated their 10th anniversary as senior pastors of LDM. To God Be The Glory. #seamosluz
